NY EPLP offers a unique range of enriching and valuable experiences that support Fellows in the performance of their current positions, and in preparing them to assume new, more challenging responsibilities. The program explores timely education policy and leadership issues at the macro, strategic level through immersive experiences and virtual, interactive sessions.
Monthly Virtual SessionsThe small cohort size ensures an opportunity for rich dialogue, networking, and the sharing of ideas and perspectives.Engage in seven monthly Zoom sessions that are the core of the program. These include seminar-style discussions with University professors and prominent speakers in education policy and leadership.
Team ProjectCollaborate on a team Policy Analysis Project to research and develop a policy position on a topic of interest, and complete a group policy paper and oral presentation.

Experiential LearningJoin Fellows from MI, OH, and PA for a two-day Strategic Leadership Forum in Pennsylvania:
DAY 1: Docent-led strategic leadership experience on the Gettysburg Battlefield offers lessons for today's leaders. DAY 2: US Army War College faculty shares strategic leadership concepts taught to military leaders, yet relevant for all. Gain a national perspective when our Fellows convene in Washington DC for a full day of intimate, insightful sessions with education think-tank experts and influencers of education policy representing a broad range of perspectives. |
Multiple Perspectives
The diverse, statewide cohort of up to 25 Fellows represents urban, suburban and rural leaders, including: school district and building administrators; private, parochial, and charter school leaders; education organization leaders; school board members; and graduate students.
